Exciting developments are underway in Hudson County! Hudson Regional Hospital, led by Chairman of the Board Yan Moshe, has announced it will take over operations at Bayonne Medical Center, marking a significant milestone in the hospital’s 136-year history.
This takeover, unveiled at a press conference with local leaders on Tuesday, is part of a broader plan to unite Bayonne Medical Center, Hoboken University Medical Center, Christ Hospital, and Hudson Regional Hospital under the new name Hudson Health System.
While the state of New Jersey must still approve the takeover, plans are already in motion to transform Bayonne Medical Center. Planned upgrades include a new entrance, lobby, cafe, physical therapy space, CATH lab, remodeled ER, and additional operating rooms—bringing a modernized healthcare experience to the community.
Hudson Regional Hospital CEO Dr. Nizar Kifaieh emphasized the vision: “We will transform Bayonne Medical Center into a modern, high-performing acute-care facility.”
