Bio
Dr. Lapas is the Radiology Department Chairman at Hudson Regional Hospital.
An honorary graduate of Rutgers University, Dr. Lapas received his doctorate of medicine from LECOM in Erie, PA, and completed a radiology residency at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, NJ. Following residency, he pursued a subspecialty fellowship in Neuroradiology at Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven, CT, serving as Neuroradiology Division Chief Fellow and subsequently as attending radiologist in the departments of Neuroradiology & Emergency Medicine at Yale-New Haven Hospital. Dr. Lapas has since returned to his roots and committed himself to giving back to the regional communities and making a difference in the healthcare of local Secaucus residents.
As Chairman of Radiology at Hudson Regional Hospital, Dr. Lapas is responsible for the clinical oversight of the Department of Radiology, including quality assurance, protocol development, and Gold Standard service and implementation with the patients’ dignity, comfort, and peace of mind as paramount considerations.
In conjunction with his commitment to patient care, Dr. Lapas participates in the training of medical students & residents and devotes a majority of his professional time to the active clinical practice of medicine in the specialty of his Yale fellowship training, providing expert consultation to surgeons and neurologists specializing in traumatic spine & brain injury.
