Bio
Dr. Teja Karukonda is a board-eligible, fellowship trained orthopaedic surgeon specializing in spine surgery. He treats a variety of spinal disorders involving the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine. He is experienced in performing minimally invasive spinal procedures as well as robotic spine surgery.Â

Dr. Karukonda was born and raised in Connecticut. He graduated from the University of Connecticut with a BS in Molecular and Cell Biology. He then went on to graduate from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. Following medical school, he completed residency training in orthopaedic surgery at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. He subsequently completed a fellowship in spine surgery at the University of California San Diego. Throughout his career, he has written numerous book chapters and has published research in the scientific literature. He strives to provide the highest level of care to all his patients.

Dr. Karukonda enjoys traveling around the world with his wife. He is an avid skier and enjoys running and hiking as well.
