On Monday, August 3rd, the Hudson Regional Hospital Foundation hosted its 2nd Annual Golf Classic in collaboration with the Meadowlands Chamber of Commerce, making significant progress towards the Foundation’s various community health initiatives.Â
The event was held at Glen Ridge Country Club in Glen Ridge, New Jersey. After a long spring at Hudson Regional Hospital facing the coronavirus pandemic, the Foundation was thankful for a bit of normalcy and the opportunity to host this event that ultimately benefits the Northern New Jersey community. All volunteers, sponsors, and participants followed the proper safety guidelines, including temperate checks, and social distancing, and the wearing of face masks.
The Hudson Regional Hospital Foundation was introduced in 2018 as a nonprofit organization with a goal to benefit our community and ensure that those who live and work here are provided for in all aspects of their well-being. All proceeds from this year’s Golf Classic are being put towards a community health bus and equipment that will benefit Hudson County and the surrounding communities. This community health bus will provide services like free health screenings, free vaccinations for children, the elderly, and other at-risk individuals, dietary and nutritional assistance, and additional community outreach, including educational seminars. Â
