In the final days leading up to Christmas, Hudson Regional Hospital donated $7,500 to the Secaucus town Holiday Toy Drive.
The money will be distributed in the form of 300 $25 gift cards. The gift cards will be given to 300 families in need, all local to Secaucus. Secaucus Mayor Mike Gonnelli and his staff will distribute the gift cards from there.
The money was donated from the hospital, and was given out in a ceremony at 10 a.m. Monday at the hospital.
Hudson Regional Hospital CEO Dr. Nizar Kifaieh presented the check to Mayor Gonnelli. Santa Claus was there, plus an Elf and Frosty the Snowman.
On Tuesday, Hudson Regional Hospital will participate in the Meadowlands YMCA’s 47th food distribution by providing 300 surprise holiday meals to families in need.
